Grayson Rams (8-0) are having a great year following a season in which some would say was a down year for this traditionally strong program. Sophomore QB Chase Brice, who has guided an offense from its usual run heavy offense to one in which the pass is more involved, is a very talented signal caller who has a very high ceiling. Junior RB Cameryn Brent headlines as one of the weapons offensively as he leads the county in rushing with 926yds and 10TDs to date. Defensively, the Rams only allow a jaw dropping 6 points per game and are loaded with major college prospects at each level of the defense including DE Justin Young, LB Daniel Fennell, and DB Jordan Hayes. When asked what was the biggest motivating factor for the season this year, Hayes stated “No one but us believed in our abilities to be successful so that is what makes us work hard to prove everyone wrong. “

Dacula Falcons (7-0) are having a great season of their own. Offensively, the Falcons feature a host of running backs including Seniors CJ Mayes, Kelan Fraise, Jacque Evangelister, Kevin Ficklin, Bijan Sirleaf and Junior Jakob Brashear. On the defensive side of the ball, the Falcons are anchored by Senior LB Azeem Cooper, who plays the game with great physicality. The Falcons play a swarming style of team defense allowing only 13 points per game.

In last year’s matchup, Dacula defeated Grayson 14-7. The winner of this game controls their own destination in winning the Region 8-AAAAAA championship crown. The loser will have to win out to guarantee hosting a home playoff game. With both teams considered to be consensus top 5 teams in AAAAAA polls, this game is set to be one of the most highly contested matchups of the year.
