GGR 2016 Senior Spotlight Pt. 2

Mill Creek vs. Colquitt at McEachern prep football

Peyton Moore, DL, Mill Creek is an aggressive defensive end who applies constant pressure on offensive lineman. Peyton is quick off the edge and a sure tackler in the backfield. Moore is also skilled enough to stand up and play outside linebacker. Peyton currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky, Georgia State, and the Naval Academy. Look for to be the anchor for the Mill Creek defense this season.

Chris Allen, LB, Norcross had a breakout year for Norcross in 2014. He led the Blue Devils defense with 113 tackles. He is a physical run stuffing defender with good quickness and instincts to play sideline to sideline. He plays with passion and an attitude. Going into his 2nd year as a starter Chris has the tackling ability to lead the county in 2015. Chris currently holds offers from Georgia State, Miami (OH), and UMASS.

Johnathan Grant, TE, Dacula has good hands with above average receiving ability. Grant did a great job blocking for the run heavy Falcon offense in 2014, but he also reeled in 3 touchdown receptions 1 of which was the game winner against Grayson (both schools were undefeated). Look for Grant to contribute on the defensive side of the ball in 2015 at linebacker.

Malik Murray, WR, Peachtree Ridge is a speedy slot receiver who can be dangerous in open space. Murray can catch the screen pass and has the ability to pick up yardage after the catch. With a year of experience under his belt, Malik should see more touches this season and I’m sure he will make the most of them.

Derrion Warner, DB, Parkview is a well-built cornerback who was solid for South Gwinnett in 2014. He covered the #1 receiver every week for the Comets. He didn’t have any interceptions in 2014, but he had plenty pass break ups. Derrion transferred to Parkview this past spring. His experience and cover skills will certainly help the Panthers defense in 2015.
