GGR 2016 Senior Spotlight Pt. 3

brett shepherd

Brett Shepherd, ATH, Buford is a do it all athlete that played wildcat QB, Tight End, and Outside Linebacker. Shepherd is a shifty runner with breakaway speed. Brett not only has the athleticism to play multiple positions on the next level, but he also has the size at 6’4″ 215lbs. He scored 4 touchdowns on 28 carries for 336 yards, and he also threw a touchdown pass. Brett has offers from East Carolina, Iowa, Furman, Wyoming, Umass, NC State, N. Carolina.

Tim Gary, LB, Central Gwinnett was a quality run-defender for the Black Knights in 2014 and was always around the ball. He totaled 98 tackles with 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 19 tackles for a loss, 1 blocked punt, and 9 sacks. Tim currently holds an offer from Florida A&M.

K’Maron Patterson, DL, Mountain View may not be the most popular guy on the Mountain View defense but he sure is effective. Patterson is always working, putting pressure on the QB. He looks very comfortable playing nose in the 3-4 defense. K’Maron has quick feet and he uses his hands well which is an important trait if you want to excel playing on the D-Line.

Canyon Slade, WR, Collins Hill had a strong 2014 season for the Eagles. He hauled in 40 passes for 531 yards and two touchdowns. Slade is a natural receiver with a good combination of speed and quickness to burn defenses for big plays. With QB Monty Horn going into his 2nd year as the starter Slade should have a big 2015.

Tuwile Wilson, DB, Shiloh is a quick corner with play making ability. He has a smooth back pedal and can break down fast enough to make the big tackle. Wilson generally takes on the task of guarding the opponents best receiver. After losing Jeremy McDuffie to Duke, look for Wilson to be a leader in the young Shiloh secondary.
