GGR 2016 Senior Spotlight Pt. 4

Clifford Amazan, DL, Archer is nasty on the D-line. At 6’2 280lbs, Amazan causes a problem for his opponents because he is so athletic. He plays with a high motor and is always looking for the big hit. Clifford received his first offer shortly after spring ball from Georgia State University, where he recently committed to the Panthers last week.

Drew Aspinwall, LB, Wesleyan is a sure tackler who uses his energy to get his team pumped. He displays good patience and speed from the LB position. Drew led his team in tackles last season with 99 tackles. Being the veteran leader on his team’s defense, look for Drew’s entire productivity to increase in 2015.

Marquez Jackson, RB, Peachtree Ridge may be one of if not the most underrated RB in the county. Marquez runs hard every time he touches the ball. He can bounce it outside or he can hit the hole and make the defender pay. During the spring season Jackson really impressed on the field each time he touched the ball. With Staples and Jackson sharing the load, Ridge may have the most potent backfield in the county.

Dorian Miles, WR, Brookwood is a good route runner who has the ability to gain yards after the catch. He is quick off the line of scrimmage and displays good ball skills. Though the Broncos didn’t pass much in 2014, Miles still managed to lead his team in rec. yards hauling in 193 yards. Dorian doesn’t have any offers presently but that could change in the near future.

Omari Sanders, WR, Berkmar is a “football player”. He can line up wide or in the slot and be effective. He has good hands and he protects the ball well. Sanders is also a special teams guy. Under the direction of a new head coach at Berkmar, expect all of Sanders abilities to be on display this season!
