Mill Creek was somewhat impressive in the scrimmage against Archer, but that is just a scrimmage. Mill Creek routed the Brookwood Broncos 42-7 scoring points in all three phases. Pocket passing QB Cameron Turley is a little different from what the hawks have had over the years at the QB position. Turley threw for 224 yards and 2 TD’s in the Hawks first time playing in the Dome and his 1st varsity start. Also like the change up with the white helmets. Next: Aug 28th vs West Forsyth

North Gwinnett took an L in the Dome 45-14 to the defending 6A state champ Colquitt Packers. Peachtree Ridge had a lot of hype going into this season as they should with the multitude of elite talent they have on both sides of the ball. The Lions showed flashes of their athleticism at times but Christian Presbyterian Academy (TN) is well coached and discipline, and they didn’t lay down. Christian Presbyterian controlled the majority of the game, but the Lions did show some passion and fight in the 2nd half. Which Peachtree Ridge team are we going to see against the #1 ranked Archer Tigers. Next: Aug 29th vs Archer
