Archer remains at #1 this week after an easy victory over North Paulding last week at the Corky Kell Classic. Archer went down 6-0 only 3 plays into the game when N.Paulding QB connected with his receiver for a 45 yard touchdown. Archer never looked back at that point and showed just how explosive the Tigers offense will be this
season. Jamyest Williams led the way for Archer rushing for 164 yards on 15 carries for 5 TD's. Archer has their hands full this week with a Nationally televised game against Peachtree Ridge Saturday night! Next: Aug 29th vs Peachtree Ridge

3Mill Creek Hawks1-0
Mill Creek was somewhat impressive in the scrimmage against Archer, but that is just a scrimmage. We knew the Hawks were going to be solid up front on both sides of the ball but they also showed they have a few athletes that will be major contributors this season. Mill Creek routed the Brookwood Broncos 42-7 scoring points in all three phases. Pocket passing QB Cameron Turley is a little different from what the hawks have had over the years at the QB position. Turley threw for 224 yards and 2 TD’s in the Hawks first time playing in the Dome and his 1st varsity start. Also like the change up with the white helmets. Next: Aug 28th vs West Forsyth
4Buford Wolves1-0
Buford moves up to the # 4 slot in the Rankings this week after their victory over Eastern Christian Academy based out of Elkton Maryland. Buford defeated the Honey Badgers 27-20 in the season opener. The young Wolves team will host Berkmar this week in preparation for their
biggest battle of the season when they travel to Powder Springs on September 4th to take on a very talented McEachern team. Next: Aug 28th vs Berkmar
5Lanier Longhorns1-0
Lanier edges Lambert 17-7 in the batlle of the Longhorns. The defense held Lambert scoreless the final 3 quarters. DL Derrick Brown is tracking another 100 plus tackle season with a 10 tackle and 2 sack performance. Lanier gained over 200 yards on the ground with senior RB Ashton Barnes leading the way with 125 yards and 1 TD. The Longhorns have a bye this week to prepare for a big game at home versus Clarke Central. Next: Sept 4th vs Clarke Central
6North Gwinnett Bulldogs0-1
North Gwinnett took an L in the Dome 45-14 to the defending 6A state champ Colquitt Packers. The pressure the Packers put on 1st time varsity starting QB Cade Fortin would have been tough for a seasoned senior QB to handle. USC commit Josh Imatorbhebhe showed his breakaway speed taking a short pass the distance pulling away from the packer defenders. The Bulldogs have another good out of region team up next in North Cobb. Next: Aug 28th vs North Cobb
7Norcross Blue Devils1-0
Norcross won a close one against historical state powerhouse Valdosta 34-31. Junior QB Baron Radcliff ran for 130 yards 2 touchdowns and he threw a TD pass in his varsity debut. He Blue Devil defense was led by senior LB Chris Allen with 10 tackles and Junior DE Robert Beal was relentless with 7 tackles, 4 TFL, 2 Sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries. Not to mention the Blue Devils killing the uniform swag with the chrome helmets. Next: Aug 28th at Brookwood
8Dacula Falcons1-0
Dacula enters the Top 10 for the 1st time in 2015 with what many would say was an upset win over a tough Collins Hill squad 36-22. The Falcons scored 29 unanswered points after being down by 15 at the half. Dacula scored on special teams with a 85 yard kickoff return by Chase Isler, and on defense with a 55 yard pick six by LB Ty Harris. Next: Sept 4th vs MillCreek
9Peachtree Ridge Lions0-1
Peachtree Ridge had a lot of hype going into this season as they should with the multitude of elite talent they have on both sides of the ball. The Lions showed flashes of their athleticism at times but Christian Presbyterian Academy (TN) is well coached and discipline, and they didn’t lay down. Christian Presbyterian controlled the majority of the game, but the Lions did show some passion and fight in the 2nd half. Which Peachtree Ridge team are we going to see against the #1 ranked Archer Tigers. Next: Aug 29th vs Archer
10Parkview Panthers1-0
QB Jack Chambers was electrifying on the ground and through the air with 185 total yards and 2 touchdown runs. WR Tyler Fleetwood (Miami Ohio) showed his arm strength on a 45 yard reverse pass to Johnathan Boyd. The game was cancelled at halftime due to lightning. The Panthers won 18-13.
