Week 6 Storylines in Gwinnett


The Discovery Titans are 2-0

The Discovery Titans are starting their inaugural season off with a bang. They average 60 plus points per game and they swarm the ball on defense. Although only 2 games into Discovery’s 1st season they are very impressive and well coached.  It will be very interesting to see them versus an explosive Collins Hill team.


Undefeated Wesleyan face toughest opponent yet

The Wolves are off to a great start sitting at 4-0. They face Pace Academy and this will by far be the wolves biggest and toughest game so far this season. Will the Wolves step up to the challenge against an impressive 6-0 Pace Academy team this Friday?


Can North Gwinnett bounce back and win at home vs Mill Creek?

North Gwinnett took a tough loss last week versus a winless Collins Hill team. This is a sink or swim week for the Bulldogs. The task won’t be easy versus one of the best defenses in Gwinnett, the Hawks defense have only allowed 27 points so far this season, but they have never beaten North Gwinnett.


Has Peachtree Ridge found there MOJO?

The Lions are on a 2 game winning streak, it might have taken them a couple games to build team chemistry. Connor Heyward is back at wide receiver and sophomore Fred Payton takes over at QB.


Three teams still seeking their 1st win

This week is the last football friday in September and their is still a few teams without a win. Berkmar, Providence, and Shiloh are the last 3 teams in Gwinnett who haven’t got a W as of yet. All three teams have improved since week 1, and it’s only a matter of time before they put it all together and get their first win of the season.
