In their first official game in the state's 5A classification Lanier pulled off the victory over Lambert 24-14. QB Tahj Tolbert led the Longhorns with 182 passing yards with 2 TD's both to WR Timothy Leazer who finished with 48 yards receiving. This was also the first victory as the Head Coach for Korey Mobbs who assumed the title this summer when Billy Wells left for a different position. Next: Sept. 5th vs Clark Central
